Will My Love Keep Me Warm While My Furnace is Out? (WORST TITLE EVER)
My furnace went kaput last Friday.
It turns out you’re supposed to clean the filters every few months or so. You’d think this would have dawned on me after eight years of owning a place. But I’m kind of a moron when it comes to that stuff. I’m good at sitting down on the ground, pulling up a laptop and writing. I don’t do much cleaning except to say that I try to reduce clutter. That is my version of cleaning – putting things away. As the dust piles, it piles on empty tables. I’m proud of this. It’s a sad badge of honor.

If there was a poster child for embarrassing tales, I should be it. I give new meaning to the phrase embarrassing moments…Whether I’m clumsily falling on my ass, behaving like a star-struck teenager in front of a bit player on the Chicago Bears, or screaming, “Keanu Reeves is hot!” in a movie theater that has suddenly gone from loud action scene to dead silence, I’m your girl.
Guest Post – Happy Second Presidents’ Day
During my vacation I’m publishing posts from some of my favorite bloggers. Today is the fantastic Lovelyn Bettison, author and blogger at NebulousMooch.com.

Presidents’ Day was Monday and somehow I managed to miss it. I look forward to celebrating Lincoln’s and Washington’s birthdays by buying sheets for 50% off all year. It’s the perfect way to pay tribute to two honored American heroes. Establishing a new republic, abolishing slavery, and getting high thread count sheets at a steel of a deal are all related after all. I’m sure neither President settled for a thread count of less than 1,000.
Do you wonder how I know that? I looked it up that’s how.
Guest Post – What The Space Shuttle & My Colon Have In Common
While I’m off on vacation, my favorite bloggers will be posting some guest spots. Here’s one from Kate Hall at CanIGetAnotherBottleofWhine

One of the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me was when I had a colonoscopy. I was having some issues in my “backyard” (rectum). And since I’m a hypochondriac, I immediately scheduled an appointment with my internist, hoping he could ease my mind with a quick diagnosis or refer me to a specialist.
Julie DeNeen – Genetic Sexual Attraction
In a rare episode where we don’t try to find the funny, Julie DeNeen talks about a reunion with her biological father and how that led to a confusing and complicated sexual relationship.
I Used to Wear Tight Jeans – Bloggers are Weird Podcast
In my late twenties I wore something no self-respecting man should. Listen and get embarrassed for me.
