Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the amp domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. Notice: Function amp_is_available was called incorrectly. `amp_is_available()` (or `amp_is_request()`, formerly `is_amp_endpoint()`) was called too early and so it will not work properly. WordPress is not currently doing any hook. Calling this function before the `wp` action means it will not have access to `WP_Query` and the queried object to determine if it is an AMP response, thus neither the `amp_skip_post()` filter nor the AMP enabled toggle will be considered. The function was called too early (before the plugins_loaded action) to determine the plugin source. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. Comments on: “Stay”cations are Depressing https://thoughtsfromparis.com/thoughts/staycations-are-depressing/ Humor blogger D.J. Paris writes about the most interesting subject in the world - himself. It's worth a look if you're cool. And you are! Fri, 28 Mar 2014 05:57:10 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.8.3 By: Shawna https://thoughtsfromparis.com/thoughts/staycations-are-depressing/#comment-29288 Fri, 28 Mar 2014 05:57:10 +0000 https://thoughtsfromparis.com/?p=5245#comment-29288 But. I just discovered you.

And I like your words. We don’t have much in common, and you wouldn’t agree with a lot of my views…but you’re genuine. It’s a brave thing you do, spilling it all out there.

If we were trapped in an elevator for an afternoon, I’m sure we’d stay in touch. That’s how I gauge peeps…my Hypothetical Elevator Test (HET)

That said. It’s wisdom that “causes the pauses,” as my Granny used to say. Knowing when you need a break and then doing it.

Best of everything to ya.

Fine, I suppose everyone is entitled to sanity. Also if you’re any good at the dating thing chick will not want you blogging about her. Chicks can be so unreasonable. BAH.

And now you have the element of surprise on your side…(insert dastardly laugh here)

That silly image can come true!! Great place to recharge those batteries and get lots of inspiration!

They say nobody reads then anyway – or at least they don’t read mine.Of course they’re not reading mine during the week either – ok, a few are. I’m one of your most devoted readers and I struggle to keep up with everything you write. So take a freaking break, for your reader’s sake!

I happen to be one who loves their “staycation.” While I do love getting away, the craziness in laundry, house cleaning, packing, driving, etc, to go away and then doing the same when I return defeats the purpose of a vacation. During a staycation, I can truly relax, work around the house as I want, and feel like I’ve been away from work for a month.

We understand. We may not like it, but we will deal with it.

However, one thing you should never take a break from is whipping out The Club on a date. Truer words have never been spoken (or typed).

Hang in there. You totally rock.

While I do enjoy reading your stuff every day, everyone needs a break every once in a while. I think it’s so awesome that you’ve had such an amazing streak! Enjoy the break. It’s nothing to be ashamed of.
