Fri, 13 Apr 2012 08:09:07 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.8.3 https://thoughtsfromparis.com/thoughts/central-florida-was-not-that-bad/#comment-5485 Fri, 13 Apr 2012 08:09:07 +0000 http://delfinparis.com/newsite/?p=2422#comment-5485 I moved to the panhandle of Florida, where I currently live.  I LOVE it here.  Then again, I think anything is better than Detroit, where I originate from.  I get a lot of that yes sir, no ma’am stuff to, but I live in a military town so.  But back “home” no one says ma’am and sir.  It’s really quite nice.  Also, ppl actually say thank you and you’re welcome when you hold the door.  Ok, ppl actually hold the door to begin with, but that was always one of my pet-peeves in MI.  Of course I have been told by many ppl that have been to Detroit that we are the rudest ppl, have the worst roads, and our state is just dirty.  I can’t disagree and it helps me like FL that much more.
