Notice: Function amp_is_available was called incorrectly. `amp_is_available()` (or `amp_is_request()`, formerly `is_amp_endpoint()`) was called too early and so it will not work properly. WordPress is not currently doing any hook. Calling this function before the `wp` action means it will not have access to `WP_Query` and the queried object to determine if it is an AMP response, thus neither the `amp_skip_post()` filter nor the AMP enabled toggle will be considered. The function was called too early (before the plugins_loaded action) to determine the plugin source. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. I don’t blame you for one minute for being so pissed off! I live in the ‘hood off Nebraska Ave, zip 33605. Google that shit for the crime stats to see how bad it is. I know the cops around here. We actually have a little crime-fighting network, with the computer nerds and V.M. Ybor NA; Tampa isn’t rich. What you’re talking about just sucks! That cop had nothing better to do than to write you up a ticket for 150.00, which is a waste of taxpayer money, in administrative costs, municipal costs, your time, the cop’s “time” and all for what? Shit like this just pisses me off and if I were the watch commander, I’d bust that guy down to street sweeper. Look at what is going on in my old hometown and your sister city, Detroit? ‘Nuf said.

Talk about over reacting.  Wow.  You should have told him that you knew shift change was  @ 7 and you thought you had until at least 9 before he finished his donut breakfast of champions.

One time on my ride in, I looked over and noticed one of Chicago’s finest (may have even been your same friend) stopped next to our bus. His cruiser was rocking from side to side as he was attempting to reach over and get something from his passenger seat. The cruiser was rocking because the officer was unable to heft his stubby arms over enough to reach whatever he had stashed on the passenger seat (Snickers bar? Italian Beef Sub?) due to his rotund belly sticking under his steering wheel. It was very amusing. I’m originally from California. I don’t think I’d ever seen a round officer of the law prior to living in Chicago. How can they seriously think they are fit for duty?

I used to ride my bike a mile to work, and I was too afraid to drown out all my hearing with earbuds. What if somebody honked at me, or something? I did manage to go with one earbud in and one out – after all, I needed SOME kind of entertainment. lol [I should note, DJ, that you’r reply system isn’t working. I don’t know if it’s Chrome, or your blog, but every time I try to scroll down in order to hit “reply”, the comment box disappears.]

Reminds me of the time when my hubby and I bought our first car, on my birthday (actually  unrelated)   and I ask the dealer when he hands me the yellow paperwork in lieu of a plate “What happens if I get pulled over?” Never, EVER… omg. I was 24. And it was my first ticket ever. He didn’t even care that I’d had no prior infractions. Must have been trying to fill his quota… he was sitting in a very remote area on a rd no one ever goes on, looking for speeders. Ugh.

Of course the rules of the road apply to bikes and you shouldn’t be blocking out all sound with headphones! It’s stupid enough when you’re in a car, but when you have no steel frame protecting you, you need to use all your senses!
