Live Free Or Die Drivin’

I thought I would try something I’d never done before – tell a story via webcam.

Why?  Well, because this one is way too long to try to type out.  It took me over ten minutes to tell, and I talk fast!

Traditional web video wisdom states that anything longer that two minutes will not be watched by most readers.  I believe this to be true for other sites, but not for MY readers!  My readers love me, and have nothing better to do.  Their lives sort of suck.

So, if you can stomach it, please stick around.  It’s not like it’s the funniest story in the world, and The Moth certainly wouldn’t accept it on their main stage, but, it’s the best I have.

If you do this again - please keep your hilarious dog in the background again SO FUNNY. Seriously. Adds a little je ne sais quoi.

I would say the camera is slightly too close to your face. It kind of makes you look like you have no torso.

Its cute though! Good job. Maybe keep the videos at 2-3 minutes if you can. I saw some videos Jason Good did and I compared one version where he uses all these crazy hand gestures and is too hyper vs one he did after that and the second, shorter one is better. One thing he did is work on eliminating extra info.

Its a good story though and this was fun to see you talk.
